Racing driver’s 'qualities and values' inspire high-end residential project
A tower named after the world’s most successful racing driver to be built in Abu Dhabi has been unveiled at the Cityscape Dubai conference.
The Michael Schumacher World Champion Tower, designed by LAVA Architects, will be built on a wharf in the central business district of Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi.
It is to be the first of seven Michael Schumacher towers built around the world, to represent each of the Formula 1 World Championships won by the German driver.
The tower is being developed by Marasi and PNYG, and is intended to “incorporate the qualities and values that made Michael Schumacher so successful as a racing driver.”
The statement continued: “Every feature, from the building techniques used down to the smallest details contained within, have been designed to reflect the standards that made [Schumacher’s] racing career so successful.”
